William and I have a deep rooted love for children.
This strong desire led me to a career in Elementary Education and
William to a career in the military.
This allowed him an opportunity to guide and direct children of an older
age.Having two of our own, we try to
provide a physically, mentally, and emotionally nurturing environment. This is essential to the development of the
child as a whole.
After much thought and consideration, we decided to share our love and compassion by
opening up our home to those who are less fortunate. It is our desire to provide stability and happiness to as many
children as given the opportunity to. With
the knowledge and understanding that children may come and go, it is our hope
that what little time we share will change them for eternity.
What we would look for in an Erie County foster parent:
Looking for a foster parent goes well beyond the financial ability to provide for the
child/ children. More importantly this
is the ability to provide for them emotionally and mentally should be
considered. Foster parents should have
a love and level of acceptance beyond human comprehension. Once a child enters the home, they should be
treated as nothing less than one of their own. Individuals serving as foster parents should also be flexible.
These children come with problems, fears and
a multitude of emotional damage.
Therefore, these adults should be willing to make changes and sacrifices
to make these children feel as comfortable and accepted as humanly possible.
